Customer Reviews: Great purchaseAugust 23, 2010 D. Fuller(Hampshire, UK) I decided to buy this flash as apposed to a cheaper one the Nissin Di622. I have only tested this at home but the results are outstading.
The flash produces the effect of no flash at all and creates a natural effect when bounced off the ceeling etc.
I feel that this is the kind of product that will see me good for a long while.
I don't go much for tech speak so will only say, if you can afford it buy it.
Great product and delivered within the time limit.
GiftAugust 18, 2010 Miss Sandra Montgomery(Coatbridge, Scotland UK) Bought as a gift for entry level SLR fan. He says it is a little difficult to master but gives goos results. Note it has a built in diffuser so there is no need to purchase and external diffuser.
Superb FlashAugust 2, 2010 Mr. A. Harness(England) I got my SB-600 probably over a year a go now, and I have been extremely impressed. If anybody is weighing this one up against the smaller sb-400 or similar, I strongly recommend getting this one instead - even if you have to save up longer.
I use mine in conjunction with my D80. The remote flash setting with the on-camera flash in commander mode works brilliantly - I probably use this setting more than anything else now. I am now considering saving up to buy a second sb-600 or maybe even a third, so as to experiment with different strobist techniques - that is how pleased I am with it.
Of course, I'm only a hobbyist and so don't really use it that much, so pros might want something better.
If I had to criticise it, it might be that the menu system and buttons are a tad fiddly and difficult to use, but this is really only a minor thing and you soon learn to work everything out.
Nikon SB600June 7, 2010 I. Scrimshaw(UK) Simple to use. Exposure with this gun is spot on as you would expect from Nikon. Maybe slightly more expensive than independant guns but the build quality is superb. I have yet to make a bad exposure with the SB600. Buy one today
