I always buy a spare battery for a new camera; I would hate to run out of power halfway through an outing. If your camera doesn't take AAs then of course you can't buy a new battery while you are out. This was a good price and was delivered promptly.

This product did not arrive within the delivery time, I had too e-mail two or three time and did not get a very quick response. we did receive the battery in the end but I did wonder if we would get it. good product.

When I searched the internet for a genuine spare battery for my Canon camera I found many sites selling the battery at varying prices. However counterfeit battery suppliers seem to be rife on the net and I always had a niggling doubt as to whether the item was going to be genuine or not.
Because I trust the Amazon brand name implicitly I had no qualms about ordering my battery from their website. I am totally happy that the battery is a genuine Canon replacement and I have no doubt that it will give me many years of service.

I decided to pay the extra for the Canon branded version rather than a non named cheaper item. This is because I've had problems with non-branded batteries before (in mac laptops etc not cameras) and wanted to ensure the maximum quality.
I haven't been dissappointed yet, in the first run alone I've manged over 200 pictures with the camera (IXUS 80) on most of the time in between shots.
My previous battery (supplied with camera) that I lost a few months previously, had around the same staying power. (c. 300 shots turning the camera on and off)
