| Customer Reviews: Does a job, room for improvement April 28, 2010 Mist of Time (UK) On the plus side this has the ability to test a wide range of batteries and is solid enough to last (I hope!) and big enough not to get lost in a drawer though will fit comfortably in the palm.
What I don't like is the fairly small meter dial at the top, the hard to see needle and the fact that the green 'good' bar is very small, there is then a yellow 'weak' piece and a large (70% of the range) red area for 'replace'. I don't really feel that is useful enough and a better use of the range would help me, along with some markings, or a 1-10 scale
Battery Tester April 27, 2010 M. G. Brown (UK) Simple to use,and works !!! and pays for it'self , as ofen u throw away good batteries when only 1 is dud !! The design is much more solid than others i looked at.

on the picture of the product you will see a big bar to wit indicates the amount of power remaining within the battery.
however the product mentioned forthwit does not use the full bar to pertain to the amount of charge left in the battery, just the green bit is used (tiny bit at the end). so therefore I declare its a bit plop!
Different colour to that shown on amazon - but it doesn't matter! March 24, 2010 John Mounsey (Sheffield, England.) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
.. because this is still an excellent "Does Exactly What It Says On The Tin" kind of product.
Very easy to use once you've safely extracted it from yet another of those HIGHLY ANNOYING "plastic bubble" style packaging disasters (the type where you need to cut around the edges with scissors just to get in there...!)
So yes, once opened you'll be testing various battery sizes in seconds - and with ease (AA, AAA, C, D and even 9v batteries are supported!) - for the 9v battery testing, there are two connectors on the base of the unit.
For the other sizes, you simply place the battery in the central area/chamber - and then push down on the tester until both contacts are touching the unit.
It then gives you a (presumably accurate...!) read-out immediately.
Very quick. Very easy. Buy now!
John.
Excellent Battery Tester January 19, 2010 A Reviewer (United Kingdom) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I purchased this item as I have lots of batteries that I just didn't know which needed charging and which didn't. I also have non-rechargable batteries that I wasn't sure what state they were in. I bought this tester and it has been really useful to separate out the batteries in need of charging and those I can take to the tip. I would definitely recommend this product.
