I gave the walkie talkies to my difficult to please nephew for Christmas. He really likes them, uses them a lot, and says they are "cool" and "very good quality". Quite an accolade!

I bought the 550 model last time and really wish I had bought the same. No sub channels, can't lock the key pad and 2 of the six keep going onto permanent transmit. Cheap but not cheerful!

Were given these as a present last christmas. They were excellent whilst skiing to keep in touch with the children. They can be heard clearly from the full described range. Recently bought another set so the whole family can keep in touch whilst out and about around the farm. Would recommend these to anyone wanting this easy way to keep in contact.

Put simply - they didn't work due to a faulty handset. Perhaps I was just unlucky, but I can only go on my personal experience. As they were for a birthday present delivery on a replacement set wouldn't have reached me in time - so I opted for the Motorola/Orange walkie talkies instead Motorola TLKR T3 Two Way Radio Twin Pack - Orange- they're about the same price but are far more stylish looking and having handled both products appear to be far more robust (although they're not rechargeable).
