| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description Perfect for macro photography and light studio work!Easy to use and fit, the DRF14 comes supplied with 3 adapter rings, 55mm, 58mm and a 67mm, allowing to fit all popular macro lenses and most portriat lenses. The flash has a guide number 14M and auto TTL exposure with Canon and Nikon SLR cameras. These guns work nicely on digital SLR's, however may require a slight exposure tweak to get the best shot.

| Customer Reviews: Good while it worked April 17, 2010 Dr Zeus (Kent, Engalnd) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
A bit fiddly to set up and rattles around when on the camera but once done is easy to use and while it works it produces good results.
However, it is of very light weight construction and although I only used it about a dozen times it stopped working after about nine months - definitely not for professional use.
I am replacing it with a Coco ring flash adapter for my Canon Speedelite 580. If you already have a Canon or Nikon flash gun then the Coco is well worth considering especially as it is about half the price of the Marumi. Have a look here: Coco Ring Flash Adapter for Canon 580EX II Flash with Canon 5D Mark II, 50D, 40D, 30D, 20D, & 10D SLR Camera's
Great value for money. March 30, 2010 Christopher I. Britton 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
The results you can get with this flash are amazing. However there is no way of varying the amount of light this unit puts out. This limits the flexibility of the unit and certainly with macro photography you will find yourself using very high fstops with at iso 100 film speeds. I would have loved to have been able to dial down the flash by an fstop or two.
However, at this price the photos are amazing considering the price of the unit. Sure you can get better ones, at three times the price for a little more flexibility.
Great for macro and portraits October 19, 2009 Graham Silversides (London UK) 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
At such a low price I wasn't expecting too much from the Marumi Ring Flash, but I've been very pleasantly surprised! Coming with various ring adaptors to fit to most standard lenses it's very quick and easy to fit. I've used it mainly with the Canon MPE65mm and Tokina 90MM lenses and the results are very impressive. The flash works very well at both extremes giving a warm, evenly balanced exposure to all images. I would highly recommend the Marumi Ring Flash!
Macro ring flash July 20, 2009 Tony Gridley 9 out of 12 found this review helpful
The storage when not in use is ungainly, it would be a huge advantage to have a plug in lead to both the control unit and the ring flash, this would then allow better storage in the camera bag, also a small pouch could be supplied to ensure safe keeping.
Excellent value for money July 5, 2009 Ted with a Canon (Bristol UK) 22 out of 22 found this review helpful
At only one third the price of comparable ring flashes I was a little doubtful , but was pleasantly surprised , it does just what it should, fits straight on to my Canon 450D and of course gives very even illumination . I found it best to use manual msettings , at life size or nearly so with EFS 60 mm Macro lens I used f 11 and 1/200 sec for excellent results at 100 ASA . - jiggle the aperture up or down if the subject is very light or dark . One small note of warning , - the on/off switch is small and if you put the flash away with it switched on (as I did ) you have flattened 4 AA batteries. Ted Foster
